Looking for the perfect label for your handmade quilt? Katipatch is just for you! I needed specific advice about the label making service they provide, and a quick email started an awesome design process. Carol is fab! She will help your creativity go wild! She has a knack to make things more visually interesting and I was seriously blown away by Carol’s help and advice. The amazing service was better than I could have imagined, and I will definitely be ordering from Katipatch again!

I can highly recommend Katipatch quilting fabrics, they are superb quality and my orders arrive pretty much next day. What a wonderful store full of treasures and helpful Ladies. I will carry on buying fabric from them as long as I can. Keep up the fantastic work.

I started the course never having done a stitch of patchwork and 9 weeks later finished it with a gorgeous completed quilt top and the confidence and skill to independently sew intermediate level blocks. Carol’s classes were packed with information, inspiration, techniques and tips – she has a great teaching manner and every session was full of fun.

Just wanted to say, Carol how much I have valued and continue to value your guidance and help as I have learnt how to quilt. As a teacher in the patchwork sampler class I attended you provided me with easily understood instructions, and helpful guidance that encouraged and empowered me to make a fabulous quilt, which I am so proud of. It has encouraged me to go on to bigger and more creative quilts. I also appreciate that you willingly help me out whenever I call into the shop and need a bit of help on a tricky bit of quilting or with selecting fabrics. Your friendly, approachable manner, and sense of humour is much appreciated.

Set in rural Katikati is this fantastic little shop for the discerning patchworker/quilter. Nowhere will you find a better source of beautiful fabrics, patterns and accessories than here – all at very reasonable prices. And if it’s help you require, whether with choosing colours, fabrics or even tuition, no-one could be more knowledgeable or patient than owner Carol Biesiek with her welcoming smile.

At a night school class some 30 years ago I started by hand a patch work quilt which I never finished.  I always said that when I retired I would finish the quilt.  On retiring to the BOP I looked for someone who might be able to help me with my unfinished project. I found Carol at Katipatch and she was only too willing to help and I finished my quilt using my sewing machine.

I went on to do the beginners class, and consequently another quilt was made.  Carol has been my teacher and mentor the whole time and I can’t believe what I have been able to achieve.  I have also done Carol’s appliqué class and quilting class and I have learnt so much.  Carol is a patient, experienced teacher with a lovely workroom space.   She has a lovely shop, with a wide range of beautiful fabric and accessories.

What I love about patchwork is that I have met some lovely ladies, and my projects are not only beautiful but are useful too.  What a lovely hobby/passion to have.
